About us
REUSE Foundation is a charity focused on preventing plastic waste
We work with businesses, advocacy groups and communities to develop pragmatic data-driven solutions that prevent plastic waste and can deliver change at scale

We're different
We focus on preventing plastic waste
We promote solutions that either don't use plastic or don't rely on disposable plastic; we want to stop plastic waste in the first place. This means we don’t promote or fund plastic recycling as we see it as part of the problem, and we don't fund clean-ups since at that point plastic is already in the environment
Instead, we fund and promote pragmatic data-driven reuse solutions that don't rely on packaging being thrown-away, can deliver change at scale and prevent plastic waste being created
Reuse is the enabler
The steps to prevent plastic waste are clear: remove, reduce and reuse plastic. Reuse solutions are key. Not only do they prevent plastic waste, they help non-plastic materials become cost competitive, facilitating use of less polluting materials
But lots of work is needed to test solutions, clarify pathways to scale, fund implementation and change behaviours
Supporting this is the work of REUSE Foundation

A pragmatic approach
Established by professionals with CPG experience as marketers, researchers and refill specialists, REUSE Foundation seeks practical solutions based on applied research and consumer insights that work for consumers and businesses
We know from experience that solutions will only suceed if they're economically viable and all stakeholders get behind them
REUSE Foundation is a broad coalition that brings together experts in the field, reuse companies, refill brands, entrepreneurs, consultants, practitioners and other motivated individuals and organisations
